B.A. (DESIGN)

KCSE applicants for Bachelor of Arts in Design admission criteria:

KCSE (Mean grade C+ and C+ in Mathematics and in each of the following 3 cluster subjects:-

Group I, Group II and any Group III, Group IV or Group V.

Mathematics  - C+

Group I – English/Kiswahili;

Group II – Biology/Physics/Chemistry;

Group III - History & Government/Geography/Art and Design,Agriculture/CRE; Group IV –French/German/Arabic/Aviation Technology;

Group V – Business Studies/ Computer Studies                                      

(ii)  ‘A” Level  Candidates

Candidates must have attained a minimum of two principal passes one in Art and any one other subject.  However, it Art is not one of the two principal passes, a candidate must have obtained a Credit Pass in art at KCE equivalent examination.

(iii) Diploma Candidates

Candidates must have attained the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) Diploma in Art, Architecture and any other Design related areas or equivalent examination.

(iv) Degree Holders

Candidates must have attained degree from a recognized University in any relevant field of Social Sciences and Engineering.

In all cases candidates may be required to submit a portfolio and appear for an interview
